Chasing Shadows: White House at Night

Painter: Yanis Alexakis
Status: sold
This re-imagining of 'White House at Night' is fairly close to Vincent’s Auvers painting, painted in 1890. In it our hero Armand, who can be seen running off the left side of the painting, chases after the strange night prowler who has been following him. To fit the cinema screen ratio we needed to crop the top, as we needed the space at the bottom for the chase, and we also had to make the colours darker than Vincent's original so that the shot would fit with the other shots in this night sequence.
